Meticulous attention to detail is consistent throughout the refurbishment of the distinguished St James’ Club in London’s Piccadilly into a chic modern 60 bedroom Boutique Hotel the Althoff Hotel Collection has become synonymous with.

The project took 14 months to complete. Revival’s brief was to design, manufacture and install plaster mouldings sympathetic in style to the buildings original look, whilst incorporating the modern themes and designs elsewhere in the fixtures and fittings. Working in tandem with the Interior Designers of Anne Maria Jagdfeld’s, who’s style is noted for its sophisticated and relaxed luxury; its intelligent blend of traditional and modern; and its discreet but distinctive flair which supports her dictum: ‘No elegance without personality’..

Revival provided solutions suitable for the varied requirements. Great care was taken in determining the size of the moulding required for each application. Lighting troughs with reflector coves were installed into the ceilings and gilded. The main reception and restaurant were treated with a Cornice that included a picture rail for hanging fine examples of Impressionist, Expressionist and Cubist artwork. The marble staircore that sweeps and curves up through six floors was fitted with elegant cornice embellished with the St James’ Club motif.
