Kensington Doyle Collection/ August 2009 The Kensington Hotel The design team, led by designer, Dennis Looby, has followed a brief which was as much about restoration as it was about renovation. The buildings’ original ceiling heights and volumes have been brought back to life, as have the period mouldings and details.
The Luxury and Executive bedrooms are graced with Cornices from the ‘Art of Revival’ brochure. The Public areas have mouldings that provide huge statements. Bespoke wall paneling cast from GRP moulds and columns adjacent to sunken panels edged with staff beads. New bespoke Cornices with large plain centre pieces were installed to the Restaurant with refurbishment of the existing mouldings to
the feature staircase to complete the fantastic spectacle. |
